Firmament Events Holds The First Edition Of Taste Of UI

It was a colorful day on Saturday, the 9th day of June 2018 as Firmament Events, an event planning organization organized a food, drinks and fruits exhibition and sales event in the University of Ibadan Community. It took place in the centre of the university at the popular Love Garden. There was a huge turn up as various entrepreneurial organizations owned by students of the university or food vendors in the university environment all brought out their goodies for the exhibition. Of course, it was a long awaited day for all the food lovers of UI, as there was not just lots of food to eat, there were varieties to eat from, ranging from confectioneries, to smoothies, salads, fruits, yoghurt, drinks, food, pepper soup and so on. Interviews held with some of the participants of the event are telling the organizers to start plans for the next edition of Taste of UI. Also, Firmament Events still has something huge cooking up, to come up on the 16th of June, 2018, and it is called Master Class where the vendors get to learn how to prepare some "out of this world" dishes. Trust me, even I am looking forward to that.

Below are the excerpts of the interviews held with some of the vendors:

CEO: Miss Ogunbunmi Oreoluwa

"It's an amazing platform, one of its kind. It's an avenue for caterers, bakers and all other foodpreneurs to show what they have as skills. As an entrepreneur, I love the event and look forward to being a part of other programs such as this. And I just know that more work can be done on publicity to make this program bigger and even better."

CEO: Miss Debo

"It's a very good avenue for people with entrepreneurial skills especially as it deals with food and drinks. I look forward to more of this kind of program, and I hope for a larger venue. I really appreciate the organizers for their thoughtfulness and this opportunity given us."

Really, we'd love to say a big congratulations to the organizers of Taste of Ui, as people who made comments said it didn't look like it was the first edition. We wonder what the next edition will look like, I foresee that it's going to be so great!
