College Of Medicine Students University Of Ibadan (COMUI) Refuse An 100k Hike In Fee

The College of Medicine students (COMUI), University of Ibadan, has vowed to refuse any attempt to hike the COMUI fee(s).

According to report reaching us, the entire COMUI students have signed a petition against the sudden hike in fee as they can afford it.

The COMUI students' also criticised the institution for increasing the professional training levy fee(s) from N12 000 to N100 000 overnight describing the move as ridiculous.

The increment also include hostel fee(s) from N14 000 to N30 000 for the UI hostels and N14 000 to N40 000 for ABH (UCH).

The entire students' of COMUI which includes department of Medicine, Dentistry, Human not, Biochemistry, Physiology , Medical lab science and physiotherapy has already started a campaign on all social media platforms with the Hashtage #NOTO100K.

Meanwhile, A student of medicine and surgery who refuses to tell us her name says medicine should be a course for the passionate and not the rich.

"Sit at home, your father sacrifice you, do not sacrifice the generation coming after you. medicine should be a course for the passionate and not the rich," She told Olujameson Media.

The increment was made official on the school website.
